This policy describes how Obsidian Games uses personal data on obsidianpay.io. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@obsidianpay.io.
Information we use
When you register, we record your username, display name, adult confirmation, password hash if you use a password, linked sign-in provider and its account identifier, session records, and security settings. Google and Telegram sign-in request an identity and basic profile scope; we store the provider identifier needed to recognize your account. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, or provider password.
We also record Free Play and funded USD balances, wagers, game results and fairness receipts, public chat messages, private support messages, moderation decisions and account restrictions. Technical records such as request timing and network identifiers help rate-limit abuse and protect accounts. We do not receive a device MAC address from your browser. Browser storage keeps preferences and game settings; an essential session cookie keeps you signed in.
Why we use it
We use account, payment and game records to provide the service and fulfill account transactions; this is necessary to perform our agreement with players. We use security, moderation and support records to prevent fraud and abuse and resolve disputes, based on our legitimate interests in a safe and reliable service. We retain records where a legal obligation applies. Optional advertising tracking relies on your consent, which you can withdraw below.
Sharing and storage
Hosting and storage providers handle the data needed to run the site. If you choose Google, Telegram or Steam sign-in, that provider handles the sign-in and sends us an authentication response. NOWPayments receives payment details needed for deposit invoices and approved payouts. Public chat messages and pinned messages can be seen by visitors. We do not sell personal data. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; contact us for details about a particular provider or transfer.
Support chat requires sign-in. Its messages are visible to the account holder and site administrators, who may reply and close a conversation. Do not send passwords, recovery codes or identity documents through chat. Administrators and moderators can remove or pin public chat messages and mute players; administrators can also ban accounts. We record these actions for review. A ban revokes active sessions and prevents further sign-in.
Optional advertising cookies
If you accept advertising cookies, we load the Google Ads tag to measure advertising and support personalized advertising. Google may receive visit information, technical browser and device information, advertising identifiers, and consent settings. We do not include your account name, email address, wallet address, game balances, or chat messages in the tag configuration. After a deposit is confirmed and credited, we send its order ID and USD invoice amount as a Google Ads conversion if you accepted advertising cookies. A deposit amount is funds added to a wallet, not our revenue. The advertising tag stays blocked until you accept. Google sign-in is separate from this choice.
We remember your advertising-cookie choice in browser storage for up to 180 days. You can reject advertising or withdraw your permission using the button below. Withdrawing reloads the page and blocks the tag on future visits. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Retention and your choices
A sign-in session expires after at most 30 days and may be revoked earlier, including after an account ban. The advertising choice lasts up to 180 days on your device. Account, game, payment, chat, support, moderation and any earlier identity-review records are not currently deleted on a fixed automatic schedule. We keep them while needed to operate the account, investigate disputes or meet applicable obligations and review deletion requests case by case. You can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict, or export your data, or object to certain processing, at support@obsidianpay.io. We will review requests under applicable law. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Payments and funded gameplay
We no longer accept new passport or ID-card image uploads through this site. If you submitted images earlier, they remain encrypted in private storage while we review their retention. Access is limited to the designated site administrator after a fresh authenticator check and is logged. The images are not sent to NOWPayments or Google Ads. There is currently no automatic deletion date for earlier submissions; contact us to request access, a retention review or erasure where permitted.
Wallet balances and crypto payment controls are shown to signed-in players when payments are enabled. Free Play credits remain separate and nonredeemable.
When you use payment features, we process selected assets and networks, amounts, deposit and payout identifiers, wallet addresses, destination tags where needed, payment statuses, transaction references, and operator review records. NOWPayments processes payment details needed to create invoices, confirm deposits, and send approved payouts. We use these records to reconcile balances, handle withdrawal requests, prevent abuse, and resolve payment queries. Funded game records include the USD wager, result, payout and date; Free Play wagers are recorded separately.
